Flathead 4-H Foundation

Founded on October 4, 1965 with the generous land donation at Loon Lake, The Foundation has the vision to achieve a level of funding to meet the educational and leadership needs of every Flathead County 4-H youth and volunteer. Our mission is to provide positive youth development and education by raising and distributing those funds in support of diverse Flathead 4-H programs.

4-H in Service to the Flathead Community

Flathead County 4-H clubs serve the local Flathead Valley Community through a wide range of activities including the following: community service with senior and veteran communities, camp clean-up, road/trail clean-up, serving at the local food bank, making blankets and quilts for community member in need, care-packages to homeless, and many other projects. Adult certified volunteers are the essential backbone to Flathead County 4-H. Nearly 200 adult volunteers donate thousands of hours each year to manage community 4-H clubs, instruct shooting sports disciplines, and provide coordination and leadership of animal science committees, in addition to a county wide 4-H Council and our 4-H Foundation. In addition to also participating 4-H clubs, members of the Board commit many hours each year in support of the Foundation from organizing fundraising events such as benefit dinners and auctions to facilitating fundraising activities like our brick fundraiser and annual raffle.
