Each summer at the Loon Lake 4-H Camp, a small but mighty team comes together to support the creation of lifelong memories for youth & families of NW Montana and beyond.

Working at Loon Lake 4-H Camp means living where others vacation, surrounded by stunning mountain views, delightful summer weather, and endless things to do! Flathead Valley and our adorable little town of Bigfork is a hub for culture with incredible local food, breweries, music, and events for all ages. We’re just a short drive from breathtaking hiking trails in the Jewel Basin, Bob Marshall Wilderness and of course Glacier National Park! Water enthusiasts will enjoy all the watersports and fishing on Flathead Lake along with many other pristine lakes and mountain fed streams and rivers. Whether you are into stargazing, wildlife or bird watching, huckleberry picking or just exploring new places, Bigfork puts it all at your fingertips offering endless opportunities for memorable outdoor adventures!

Join us for a unique seasonal “workamping” opportunity at the beautiful Loon Lake 4-H Camp, nestled in the woods on 15 private acres south of Bigfork in the Flathead Valley of NW Montana just 45 minutes south of Glacier National Park. We’re looking for friendly, responsible hands-on work campers to help support our busy summer season and quieter shoulder seasons. If you love the outdoors, enjoy helping people, and want to spend a summer in Montana while supporting a vibrant 4-H community, youth camps, and more, then this is the perfect fit!

What We Offer in exchange for Work Camping…

• RV sites (power + water access, plus on-site RV pumping every two weeks).
• Staff quarters or campsites available for workers without an RV.
• Shared staff bathroom with shower, laundry and Starlink WiFi in the Lodge.
• Delicious free meals when the kitchen is open for service.
• Stipend or hourly pay available for kitchen staff depending on role & experience with schedules of 20-40 hours/wk available.
• Beautiful, quiet lakeside setting with access to Loon Lake, camp amenities and watercraft during off-hours.
• Ample time to enjoy the beautiful Montana summer!
• Youth-focused mission — be a part of the Flathead 4-H Foundation family. We have been creating lifelong summer memories each season for 300–400 Montana youth for nearly 45 years!

What You Might Do…

• Kitchen staff roles (prep/cooking/dishwashing/serving)
• Guest services, event support, Airbnb co-hosting
• Light maintenance and groundskeeping
• General camp upkeep and basic cleaning tasks
• Social media marketing and casual photography
• Special projects that utilize your interests and talents!
