In 1966, this area was dedicated by Mr. and Mrs. George Hepburn to the memory of their son Fred Hepburn. With 54 pristine acres of deep water, Loon Lake provides so many opportunities for year-round enjoyment. From swimming and kayaking to fishing and bird watching, there’s much to enjoy about this very special place…
The Flathead 4-H Foundation, in partnership with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, offers for public use this approximately one acre park and public lake access. There are upper and lower parking areas, two latrines, several picnic tables, a swimming dock and a boat launch for use from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. Map & Directions are below…

Locals and tourists alike are welcome to enjoy the park. Please take care to pack in and out your trash and belongings. Guests must follow all Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks laws when fishing and boating. Motorized watercraft, wood/charcoal fires, fireworks, discharge of firearms, and camping are prohibited. All water activities are at your own risk. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult in and near the lake.
